1:16 Scale German King Tiger Henschel RC Tank
Experience the pinnacle of World War II tank engineering with the 1:16 scale German King Tiger Henschel RC tank. Designed for serious RC enthusiasts, this model is equipped with the latest generation TK7.0 multi-function control board (MFCB), offering proportional acceleration, steering, turret rotation and cannon elevation or depression for highly realistic handling.
You can personalise your driving experience with programmable settings that adjust recoil strength, turning sensitivity, acceleration response and speed mode. Whether in high-speed or low-speed mode, the omnidirectional proportional control ensures smooth, responsive movement across all terrains.
The tank's robust construction includes extremely durable metal tracks, metal sprocket, metal idler, independent suspension and a reliable steel-geared gearbox, allow for confident operation over rough terrain. Track recoil simulates cannon fire with a rearward jolt and includes three selectable levels from low to high.
For battlefield immersion, the model features four distinct sound sets, with effects including engine start-up, idle, acceleration, turret traverse, cannon elevation, machine gun bursts, main gun fire and shutdown. Volume is adjustable across five levels. The working smoke system, powered by a glycerin-based exhaust effect, along with switchable headlights and brake lights, adds further authenticity.
Combat functionality includes the ability to fire 6mm plastic BBs up to 10 metres. While not intended for high accuracy, this feature must be used with appropriate eye protection. In addition, the tank is fully compatible with Heng Long's infrared battle system, allowing up to 20 tanks to engage in simulated combat. Each tank is disabled after receiving five hits, and reactivates after 10 seconds.
With 320 degrees of turret rotation and 30 degrees of cannon elevation, you remain in complete control. LED indicators signal standby or active status and flash when the tank is hit during IR battles. Finished in factory paint and supplied with cosmetic accessories, this RTR (Ready to Run) model combines practical performance with excellent scale detail, making it ideal for both collectors and competitive operators.
A Brief History of the King Tiger (Henschel)
The King Tiger, or Tiger II, was Nazi Germany's most heavily armoured and powerfully armed tank of the Second World War. Entering service in 1944, it was designed to dominate Allied armour with its formidable 88mm KwK 43 L/71 gun and thick, sloped frontal armour. The Henschel turret variant, more common than the Porsche design, featured improved ergonomics and simplified production. Though mechanically complex and often hampered by reliability issues, the King Tiger struck fear on the battlefield with its unmatched firepower and presence. This RC model captures the legacy of one of history's most iconic tanks, delivering a commanding experience for military history enthusiasts and RC hobbyists alike.
