Product Description

The Piper PA-18 Super Cub is a two-seat, single-engine monoplane developed from the Piper PA-11. Over nearly 40 years of production, more than 9,000 units were built. Super Cubs are commonly used for bush flying, banner towing and glider towing.

The FMS 1700mm PA-18 was launched in 2019, and its stable, easy-to-fly and user-friendly characteristics have delighted both new and experienced pilots. While this trainer has received widespread praise, FMS has often been asked whether it would be possible to reduce the size of the aircraft — including the model itself and its packaging — while maintaining its stability and controllability, and making it compact enough to carry like a boarding suitcase.

With the 1300mm PA-18, FMS has provided the answer. Like its larger sibling, the 1300mm PA-18 features a two-piece main wing and horizontal stabiliser. Additionally, the fuselage has been redesigned in two sections, greatly enhancing portability. The model can be stowed in a car boot, ready for spontaneous flying adventures.

Thanks to its functional flaps, high-lift aerofoil, rugged landing gear and oversized pneumatic rubber tyres, the 1300mm PA-18 Super Cub offers outstanding short take-off and landing (STOL) performance, allowing it to operate from virtually any terrain. The aircraft also remains easy and convenient to assemble or disassemble, with the entire process completed using just a few screws.
